Walmart Cancels Halloween 4K Box Set Orders

Last week, retail giant Walmart offered an incredible price for an upcoming box set of three Halloween Movies. It’s sold out by the end of the day, but those who are lucky enough to land an amazing deal will be disappointed. The company has started sending out emails stating that due to a “pricing error”, it will no longer honor pre-orders made at the lower price. According to the email, sent around noon ET today, Walmart detected a “pricing error on some items in your order….we had [to] Cancel according to our pricing policy. “The lack of the word ‘to’ in the phrase ‘we had to cancel it’ likely showed exactly how under attack the retailer was when they realized they had offered who knows how many customers a $100 discount.”

The box set was put up for pre-order last month at $129.98, but last week, it was listed for just $22.98. It’s possible that the error occurred as a result of Walmart selling a number of horror movies. Brick and mortar stores currently have Halloween movie endings, which feature deep discounts on a number of DVDs, including 2018 Halloween.

Box set includes Halloween: The Curse of Michael MyersAnd the Halloween H20: Twenty Years LaterAnd the Halloween Resurrection. The films, released theatrically between 1995 and 2002, were one of the last installments of the original Halloween series, before being rebooted by Rob Zombie in 2007. The series ran in only two installments, before the reboot was discarded in favor of a return to the original series. …but just kind of.

in 2018, Halloween She reintroduced Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode to the franchise, bringing her to face Michael Myers again. But while every movie between 1988 and 2002 was based on the development of the end of 1981 2nd Halloween – Since Michael and Laurie were secretly brothers – the 2018 sequel eliminated everything from 1981 onwards from continuity, making it a direct sequel to the original 1978 release. This means the story that will conclude with this year The end of Halloween Technically only four films – HalloweenAnd the HalloweenAnd the Halloween killsAnd the The end of Halloween. Everything else, including that gorgeously restored set of chests, which is $120 or more, never happened.

If you’re disappointed by Walmart’s decision not to honor your pre-order, but still want the discs, you can Get the box on Amazon for $103.78Which is a far cry from Walmart’s fault but it’s also $20 cheaper than Walmart, and you don’t return your money directly to the people who canceled your order.

Halloween 4K Collection (1995-2002) Available to own on October 4, 2022.
